Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana was started by Honorable Narendra Modi and this scheme was announced on 15 August 2014 and it was started on 28 August 2014.   5. Overdraft facility will be allowed after satisfactory operation of the account for 6 months
  6. Along with pension, access to insurance products will also be available
  7. Accident Insurance Kanwar Rupay Debit Card must be used at least once in 45 days
  8. Overdraft facility upto ₹5000 is available in only one account per woman of each Parivar Adi Manas Parivar

Following are the important documents to participate in Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana

  1. If Aadhaar Card / Aadhaar number is available then no other document is required. If address is changed then self-proof of current address is sufficient.
  2. If Aadhaar card is not available then any one of the following officially issued documents will be required Voter ID card, Driving License, PAN card, Password and NREGA card If these documents do not have your address then it can also serve as proof of identity and proof of address
  3. If a person does not have any of the officially verified documents mentioned above but is categorized as low risk by the banks then he can open a bank account by submitting any one of the following documents
  4. Identity card bearing photograph of the applicant issued by Central / State Government Departments / All Statutes / Vinayak Officers and Public Sector Undertakings on Scheduled Commercial Banks and Public Financial Institutions
  5. Letter issued by Gazetted Officer containing Miscellaneous Verification Photograph of Devotion
